Rejection is more painful than being killed; because when you’re killed you simply die and you are put out of your pain right away. Although others feel pain after you are gone, you don’t.But when you’re rejected it dwells inside your heart and imbeds itself there. Like a weed that refuses to whither. It grows and grows until one day, you decide to let it go. And then you open yourself up to let more rejection in. Until a point in your life when a special person comes along and cleans up the garden. Taking away all the weeds, and leaving in their place an array of beautiful flowers. All healthy and thriving because they’ve been taken care of.
