A Shadows Delight

The air grows cold and the sky draws dark,
Her heart beats fast and her actions are stark.
The trees act as a guise, a shield,
The moon as a light, the two shadows yield.

Forgetting the purpose of their endeavor,
The time that they had felt like forever.
Though time flies fast,
A moment like this was meant to last.

Sweet to taste, and with pure intent,
No matter the cost, the minutes were spent.
Secluded from the world,
They spoke honest words.

Hidden were they to the light,
Thus, the tale of the shadows delight.
