A Gossiping Reflection

What does my reflection say? When I look in the mirror, what do I see? Our reflections speak for us. They gossip about us to the general public. Our reflections allow others to form opinions about us; whether they are accurate or not, the mirror only says what it sees.

When her reflection speaks, it speaks of her class and finances. It gossips about the new Louboutin’s she wore to the gala, or the Prada purse she carried to her first modeling agency interview.

When his reflection speaks, it shares the story of his first home run. The cleats he wore when he slid to third, and was safe, talk about his daring attitude.

A reflection is only accurate if the mirror isn’t slanted.
